Me at Meet the Teachers, Bead and Button, June 2010.
Jewelry design is my passion. I have created many forms of jewelry, sold, taught, and published numerous articles in magazines and booklets. My primary goal is to share my passion with others by teaching and selling items. Bead weaving of all kinds allows me to create a wide range of jewelry. I work with all kinds of beads in the process. In addition, I sometimes wander to other art forms. But mostly is it jewelry that captures my busy hands.
I've been making jewelry for decades. Now that I'm retired, I have time to create more and find better outlets for my passion. I must bead and to continue making things without being buried in beads, I need outlets to make room and find money for more creativity! I hope you will find something you like. The article below was in the Inverness Pioneer August 27, 2009. The Vintage Looking necklace in garnet was sold at the annual Bead and Button Auction for Breast Cancer research in June 2010.
Believe it or not, I am a retired financial manager. I guess I've gone from counting "beans" to "beads". Well they call accountants bean counters don't they?
When I am not in my garden, or on my bicycle, I color my world inside with beautiful beads.
